In addition to iOS 11.2.2 released this morning, Apple also introduced a software update that brings MacOS some bug fixes and critical updates.
Update arrives on the App Store with macOS 10.13.2. This patch is patched for some design flaws on the Intel CPU.
Mac users can download macOS 10.13.2 by visiting the update section of the Mac App Store. The earlier macOS 10.13.2 update, released at the end of December, fixed Intel’s Meltdown vulnerability.
macOS 10.3.2 What else to update
In addition to fixing the design flaws in Intel CPUs, macOS 10.13.2 complements the security improvements that were also made to Safari and WebKit to fix specter bugs. Specter and Meltdown CPU defects can not be tested hardware fixes, so Apple had to fix vulnerabilities through software updates.
Apple also introduced Safari 11.0.2 today. Apple’s web browser update is targeted at macOS Sierra 10.12.6 and OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 users. It is also designed to mitigate the effects of ghost vulnerabilities.
